Practical Information
Initial session
I offer the initial counselling session free of charge as I feel it is important that you feel comfortable with me and the environment I offer; this session will last for approximately 30 minutes.
Session times and frequency
Sessions last for 1 hour, and I usually meet with my clients once a week. During the initial session we can decide together, the frequency and number of sessions. However, nothing is set in stone and we can review this as we progress.
Fees
Counselling: I charge £50 for a 1 hour session. I do accept some clients at a reduced fee under certain circumstances. Payment can be made by cash, cheque or bank transfer at the end of each session.
Supervision: I charge a £60 hourly fee for one-to-one supervision, or £80 for the BACP minimum monthly requirement of one and a half hours.
Supervision for student counsellors: I offer supervision for student counsellors at a concessionary rate of £50 per hour, or £70 for the BACP minimum monthly requirement of one and a half hours.
Cancellations
If I need to alter or miss a session I will aim to give you as much notice as possible and will offer up an alternative session time. There may be times when you need to cancel and I will try to accommodate that wherever possible. If sessions are cancelled with less than 24 hours notice given (except in exceptional circumstances) you will be charged for the missed session.
